Club CallFutsal chief maes Madrid moveSpanish futsal supremo Javier Lozano has been named the new director of Real Madrid's professional football dept.
After ending his own playing career, the 46-year-old won unofficial global and continental titles with Spain after switching to futsal, and was named national coach in 1992.
A statement from Madrid read: "Amongst his responsibilities are to optimise the relationship between the professional teams and the club - working with the coaching staff, managers and training camp director Valter di Salvio - and to help manage the first team and Real Madrid Castilla."
Lozano won the 1996, 2001 and 2005 UEFA European Futsal Championships and the 2000 and 2004 FIFA Futsal World Cups.
