Twenty One Teams Confirmed for Nationals in Benguela

Twenty one teams, 12 of males and nine of ladies, have been confirmed for the 13th edition of the national futsal championship, to be played from September 29 to October 06 in the southern Benguela province.

Speaking to ANGOP, the secretary general of the Angolan Futsal Federation (Fafusa), Eliseu Major said that next weekend, at the venue of the competition, he will assess the remaining technical and organisation details.

Luanda province, he added, will compete with only three unidentified male teams, including Toyota de Angola (national champions). While Benguela, host, is to participate with two males and three ladies teams, the same number as those of Namibe in both categories.

Toyota de Angola is the titleholders of the men's competition, now in its 12th edition, whilst Huíla Veterans hold the titles of the ladies tournament, seventh edition.
