Futsal Website And Logo Launched

Bandar Seri Begawan - Event Management Anati (EMA) in cooperation with the Youth and Sports Department under the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, and the Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (BAFA) will be organising the 1st Brunei Futsal Tournament Open 2007 from Nov 30 to Dec 23.

The Brunei Futsal Tournament Open 2007's website and logo were launched yesterday by the guest of honour, Haji Ahmad bin Awg Haji Abd Rahman, who is the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. Event Management Anati (EMA) has been selected as the event manager for the tournament.

According to Pg Hj Abd Wahab Pg Hj Sulaiman, who is the co-chairmen of BFT 2007, the Website and Logo of BFT 2007 are part of the continuous contribution and commitment of EMA.

The Brunei Futsal Tournament Open 2007 Website is www.emabruneifutsal.com, where the registration forms and information as well as rules and regulations of the tournament can be obtained.

A briefing on the BFT 2007 was carried out by the Tournament Director, Lt Col Pg Mohamad Noor bin Pg Hj Muhidi who elaborated on the objectives of the Brunei Fustal Tournament such as to develop and bring the unique yet popular sport to the national level.

Among the other objectives he pointed out were to foster friendship among the participating teams as well as to promote a healthy lifestyle through exercise. It will also uphold the spirit of fair play and competitiveness.

Teams stand a chance to win the grand prize of B$2,000 and gold medals if they emerge as champions. The first runners-up will win B$1,000 and silver medals, whereas the second runners-up will walk away with B$800 and bronze medals. Teams who come in third, fourth and fifth runners-up will win B$500, B$300 and B$200 respectively.
