The Guatemalan Futsal Committee is working hard in order to be ready for the World Cup Qualifiers - Brazil 2008, to be approximately played between March and July 2008, though CONCACAF has not yet announced the hosting place for the qualifying tournament.

With this aim, the local FA is looking for a European experienced coach that could improve the level of the national selection. We have to remind that Guatemala already had positive previous international experiences with the brazilian Fernando Ferretti, as well as with the current spanish national team coach Venancio Lopez.
