Good news for women futsal in Brazil. In the CBFS meeting held in Goiânia on October 5th the third edition of the Women Liga Futsal was finally confirmed!

This edition will keep the same number of participant clubs (12) but will change the tournament formula and duration.

The twelve teams involved will be splitted into two groups of six, with a competition system more similar to the one of the Taça Brasil rather than the past Liga Futsal. Each group will be played in a unique place, with each club to face the others just one time. The first and second classified of each group will enter the semifinals stage, organized in a more conventional way (home and away matches), as well as will happen for the great tournament final. The first stage will start on November 27th and end on December 1st. With respect to the past season Sumov (CE) and Santo Ângelo (RS) quit the league, replaced by UTC/Guaraná Mineiro (club from Uberlândia - MG) and Teresópolis (RJ).
