LOVERS of the round ball game will rejoice at news that Mosman Football Club is looking for teams to take part in its coming Futsal competition.


``We're running a five-a-side outdoor competition that will be spread over nine or 10 weeks,'' club spokeswoman Clare Prior said.

``It will be open to all age groups: men and women, boys and girls.

``It is not just open to Mosman Football Club members, it's open to any football lovers out there.

``People are invited to enter a team and will be guaranteed a certain amount of games, culminating in the semis and the grand final in the first weekend in March.''

The competition will kick-off on November 19.

Games will be held at Middle Head Oval and Georges Heights Oval.

``Futsal appeals to all levels of ability and ages,'' Mrs Prior said. ``It's fast moving, played on a smaller pitch. Some would say it's more exciting because it's only 15 minutes each way.''
