The new Finnish season 2007/2008 was opened by the Supercup challenge in Tampere, played on October 12th between the national champions of Ilves and the cup winner Golden Futsal Team. The final victory went to Ilves at the end of a tough match in which they had to recover two times from the Golden FT advantage, thanks to the Petteri Saukoniemi's hat trick.
