02/11/2007 Georgian Futsal update
On November 27th and 28th Georgia will host an interesting couple of friendlies against England, with the Graeme Dell squad just coming from a double defeat suffered with Andorra.
Surely a useful experience and test for the Petre Tabukashvili's selection, that in the current year also faced Romania and France. In the early days of November (7th and 8th), besides, Georgia will also see its Under 21 selection back in action, through a double friendly match vs the Armenian Under 21 selection, as announced by the local futsal committee. A useful way to evaluate two new players who have recently joined the roster as the goalkeeper David Kepashvili and the striker Davit Cinckaladze. Also the Georgian Futsal General Secretary Beka Kvitsiani have contacted Mr. Antonio Morais (Futsal Boavista Director) about the chance to visit Porto this year with some youth players from Georgia.
Besides, looking for the next World Cup Qualifiers, the Georgian FA appointed the spanish coach Sergio Martinez, who will therefore collaborate with Petre Tabukashvili during the tournament with Spain and Croatia. Back to the national futsal, we have to remind that the Georgian National Championship "MIKASA LEAGUE" will start on December 3rd with six clubs to take part in it.
