Shamsaei nominated for futsal award

Vahid Shamsaei, the Iranian futsal player, is nominated for Asian Player of the Year 2007.

The iconic player succeeded to win the futsal Asian Championship with Iran's national futsal team in Tokyo early current Iranian year (started March 21), Iran Daily reported Sunday.

Shamsaei is also world's best goal scorer with 315 goals, the English-language daily added.

He is Iran's only representative in the event's individual section.

The AFC 2007 Awards matches will be held in Sydney on Nov. 28.
