Here we are with the final list of
Ukraine just announced by head coach
Gennadiy Lysenchuk in order to face the Portuguese prestigious task. Futsal fans will be maybe disappointed by the absence of a player like
Serhiy Koridze (his team mate in Shelkovo Kudlay was neither included in the 20 men roster:
click here to read our previous report), who wrote the history of the Russian (2001) and Italian (2003) edition in great style. But that's not a surprise at all for international futsal lovers, as since some years the new and highly talented key man for Lysenchuk is, together with other basic players, the Spartak Shelkovo's impressive forward
Sergey Sytin. Another reason to be surprised could be given by the absence of the Dinamo Moscow's goalkeeper
Olexy Popov, maybe paying for the fact to have spent some seasons in the Stepanov's shadow in Moscow. The recent history of European futsal anyway shows how Ukraine, though sometimes missing the "big names", were always able to reach the highest results. Will the story be the same in Porto?
