Kerygma Kristal vs Jeepers FC 4-11Report by
Gianluca Busuttil12 Nov 2007Jeepers FC sponsored by Ford, today made a comeback from their disappointing first match against El Mundos. In this second match of the season, Jeepers immediately showed their superiority and dominated the match from start to finish. Zelkjo Anicic made a great run on the line before passing to Basil Emeka, who with a simple a tap-in, gave Jeepers a 1-0 lead. Then Emeka was fouled near the box in a danger area, for a free kick, which Anicic put away to lengthen his team’s lead to 2-0. Shortly after entering the match instead of Andrew Debono, Owen Galea scored a great goal after a good run on the line. Cacciattolo, Toni … and Elton “Dunda” Catania played some brilliant passes before Catania tapped it in. Kerygma then managed to pull back one goal to go into half-time 4-1. With more goals in the second half from Emeka, Anicic and Catania, the score was now 9:4. Towards the end of the match, with incredible skill, Anicic managed to dribble probably every opposing player, dropped the keeper to the floor, but with what might have been some excess in self confidence, he chipped the ball over the keeper’s head, only to see it pass slightly over the top bar. With another goal from Emeka and a fantastic goal from the side line from Jeepers defender Christopher Borg, the final score read 11-4 to Jeepers.
Jeepers were: Marvin Spiteri, Andrew Debono, Christopher Borg (Cap, 1), Zeljko Anicic (3), Basil Emeka Onuta (4), Alvin Cacciattolo, Elton Catania (2), Owen Galea (1), Anthony Eguzo & Richard Busuttil. Team manager: Noel Attard Flores.
