Mac Arthur ChronicleQuake meet determined City Eagles20 Nov 07 CAMPBELLTOWN City Quake met some stiff resistance when Sydney City Eagles came to visit in round eight of the NSW Premier Futsal League at Minto Indoor Sports Centre on Saturday.
The match of the round was between the top-placed Quake youth men and the lowly Eagles.
On paper the result seemed a formality, but the Eagles were determined to topple the high-flying home side. The 5-4 Quake win was only secured in the dying minutes with three quick goals.
Quakes' 12 boys went down 5-1, the 14s were defeated 7-5, the 13 girls drew 2-2, the 16 boys conceded 5-1, the 16 girls dominated 7-1, the women fell 2-1 while the men played out a 1-1 draw.
Quake will be away to Liverpool Fusion this Saturday.

Quake gained 10 valuable points towards the club championship.
The 12 boys were beaten 5-1 by a good Eagles' side.
The 14 boys made a late charge after a poor start but Sydney City did enough to win 7-5. Patrick Antelmi scored four goals for Quake, with the other going to Jake McGing.
The 13 girls drew 2-2.
The 16 boys put up a great fight but lost the game 5-1 with Mark Kurlapski the lone Quake scorer. The 16 girls was one-way traffic with the Quake winning 7-1. The Youth Men played out a close game and won 5-4.
The Open Women narrowly went down 2-1 and the Open Men's match featured two depleted squads as injury and suspensions had both squads using lower grade players.
Shane Soutter scored to help give the Quake a 1-1 draw.
