Vietnam Net BridgeThree pillars withdraw from national futsal teamVietNamNet Bridge – Three major players of the national futsal team did not go to Thailand last Friday with their team because of dissatisfaction with the coaching board.
Tuan Tu, Trung Kien and Bao Quan refused to go because “the coaching board uses unskilled staff”.
According to some sources, after former football star Nguyen Hong Son was appointed vice coach of the men’s national futsal team, three players, Minh Tuan (Hanoi), Van Thanh (HCM City) and Quoc Binh (Da Nang), were rejected. The substitute for these players is a U-19 footballer from The Cong team, an acquaintance of Hong Son, who is said to know nothing about futsal.
Tuan Tu, captain of Dilmah team and the national futsal team, did not agree with the coaching board and he left the team with two other players, who are also members of Dilmah squad.
Tu said he regretted practicing hard for a long time and now had to go home while others got to go to Thailand but he and other members of the national futsal team did not agree with vice coach Nguyen Hong Son and the coaching board to add the U-19 The Cong player.
Chief coach of the national futsal team Nguyen Van Long said: “Minh Tuan is experienced, skilful but his performance has been poor recently so he was rejected.”
“I met them several times to explain and asked them to not leave the team but I did not succeed,” said head of the futsal delegation Nguyen Huu Bang.
Chairman of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Nguyen Trong Hy added: “I and many others tried to resolve this case but we could not. We have to accept footballers’ decisions.”
The coaching board called up halfback Nguyen Quoc Binh (Da Nang) and Le Thanh Van (HCM City) to replace the three above players
