Cyprus Futsal Champions

For the first time ARARAT played in a Futsal tournament in Switzerland in 1985 and since then our team has turned out to be almost the permanent champions of Cyprus in Futsal which is under the rules and regulations of the Cyprus Football(Futsal) association.
Since the formation of The official Futsal league in 1999-2000, Ararat f.c, has won the cup in the same year and in the years 2000-2001 and 2001-2002, the championship titles.

Last year Ararat F.C. represented Cyprus in the 1st UEFA champions league which was held in Belgium-Charleroi and took the second place above the champions of the Czech republic and Georgia and second to Action 21 of Belgium, who eventually made it to the final of the cup and lost to the Spanish champions.

This year Ararat will again represent Cyprus in UEFA Futsal championship and the group will play in Finland, between October 4th to 10th. The teams are Kemi Tornio of Finland, Shaktyor Donetsk of Ukraine, Zarea-Balty of Moldavia ,and Ararat AGBU of Cyprus.
We have our own closed-roof stadium located in Nicosia .

The futsal team of Ararat is part of the big family of the Armenian General Benevolent Union, A.G.B.U. Nicosia chapter and has its own separate organizing committee.
