Great News from Australia

New South Wales Futsal logo ...

NSW Futsal have commissioned a new website.
www.nswfutsal.com.au is a little more "futsal friendly" than the older site which was built
originally for outdoor football. The navigation and layout is much more intuitive than the older site. It was released on September 1st to coincide with the new futsal year here in Australia.
Some of the powerful features of this new site is the ability to register. This lets a user customise their home page so that when they log in they see their table, their last result and next match. Also, they can customise the news they see, be it club, state or world news.
Also, registration gets you added features including coaching tips and
an upcoming user forum.
For all of our overseas visitors, feel free to come in a "sponsor" a team, no payment required. Register on the site, then set up your preferences to watch the progress of some team you don't know. :)
Watch how a local 8 year old team in Campbelltown or a 12 year old team at Rockdale is doing. Sure, you won't know who they are, but you'll get their results anyway! :)
But seriously, you will be able to set up your preferences to get the
NSW State League results and tables, one (if not *the*) premier week-to-week futsal competition in the country. I know Alistair will disagree, but as the CEO of Queensland Futsal, he has to! :)
There are links on the top of each page to all the other local elevant authorities including our friends at Queensland and ACT Futsal, as well as Soccer Australia and FIFA, however there is also a link to a site called "play by the rules". This site is all about the issues associated with fair play, for both players, coaches and administrators of sport.
The official line is:
Play by the Rules provides information on how to prevent and deal with
inappropriate behaviour including discrimination, harassment, favouritism, bias and various forms of abuse.
Most of the information is based on Australian government particularly South Australian) regulation, however there isn't much that isn't able to be employed anywhere in the world. The site is www.paybytherules.net.au and is well worth a look.
... and as always, any news and/or pictures from around the world are
encouraged. news@nswfutsal.com.au is where to send any reports you
have. I've already stolen some from the list, but I figure that if they are published here, they are for "public broadcast". Please let me know if that's not the case and I'll pull down the stories.

Thanks and regards,
