Men’s and women’s teams in semis

BOTH the Malaysian men’s and women’s futsal teams have qualified for the semi-finals.

The men’s team finished as runners-up in Group A with four points. They defeated the Philippines 8-4, drew with Myanmar 4-4 and lost to Thailand 2-6.

They will play against Group B winners Indonesia in the semi-finals at the Sports Authority of Thailand Indoor Stadium in Bangkok today. The other semi-final is between Thailand and Laos.

The Malaysian women finished as Group A winners with the maximum six points from identical 3-2 wins over the Philippines and Laos. They will play against Group B runners-up Vietnam in today’s semi-final. The other semi-final is between Laos and Thailand.
