Glucosoral win Futsal quadrangular at Guatemala’s Domo

17.12.07 - Guatemala’s Glucosoral won a four-team Futsal Club tournament called, the Copa Lanquetin at the Domo Polideportivo in Guatemala City.
Glucosoral began the quadrangular with an 8:3 win over Costa Rican side La Fortuna de Desmparados on 13 December. After defeating the Guatemala League Champion, Century, by a score of 9:3 the following day, Glucosoral captured the Copa Lanquetin with an 11:4 triumph against Abangares of Costa Rica on 15 December.

The Domo, which drew 80,740 spectators through 12 match days during the 2000 FIFA Futsal World Cup, will also stage the CONCACAF Futsal Championship next year.

The eight-team CONCACAF Tournament will qualify three nations to the FIFA Futsal World Cup Brazil 2008.
