PCYC Futsal news

Last Thursday saw the second last round of Futsal played for 2007 before going into a recess until January 31 2008 and again there were some excellent matches played out in all three divisions. In division one, The BJC Boys continued their good form with an 11 goals to three win over the Tree Huggin’ Hippies.
Sold Ya Kittens were on fire with a 15 goals to one win over PCYC.

In division two Main Game defeated Tellie Tubbies 7 goals to 2 in a very entertaining game of Futsal and in division three MGM better known as team D defeated the Jets 15 goals to 4.

Please note that in division one Strikers have forfeited their round this week so Sold Ya Kittens have an early mark for 2007.

The local competition may be in recess from this Thursday, however there is still a lot of Futsal to be played over the coming weeks with the Australian National Futsal Championships to be conducted at Canberra between January 7 and 12.

Several members of the Young PCYC are involved with members of the Football NSW FUTSAL squads.

We wish Sammie Wood (under 16 girls NSW Thunder), Jessica Millar (under 14 girls NSW Lightning) and Belinda McGuire and Candace Lim both in the under 16 girls Storm teams the best of luck at the Nationals.

All of the girls have been travelling to Sydney every weekend over the past 6 weeks to train in their squads for this very prestigious competition.

All the girls will be competing in their age groups against the best representative players from all states and territories in Australia. Ian, Leanne, Jim and all members wish these girls the best.

Also this Thursday is the last chance for anyone wishing to purchase Futsal Shoes at a very good price.

Tim and the Staff of Futsal NSW have allowed us to have in stock, some very good quality Errea and Lotto shoes over the last couple of weeks. So if you require shoes, Thursday night is it.
