Make A Child Smile: The Tommy Leech Fund
Tommy was born early due to complications and was born without any ears. The operation to construct Tommy’s new ears will cost around a staggering £50,000 and Middlesbrough Futsal Club are supporting his fundraising campaign along with our official charity Make A Child Smile. To raise funds we are hosting an exhibition match with Ipswich Wolves, the English Champions on 23rd February 2008. Tickets are free and can be obtained by calling 07807 146 319, or by logging on to www.BoroFutsal.co.uk. There will be fundraising games on the day and a prize draw with some great prizes so get your tickets now and enjoy a top family day out.

The FA Futsal League
Last month Middlesbrough Futsal Club received an offer of a place in the FA Futsal League – North. This is the first official national league ran by The FA, with the winners qualifying for the UEFA Futsal Cup, the champions’ league of futsal! Being accepted into the national league is a huge step in the history of Middlesbrough Futsal Club and is a reward for all the hard work put in by everyone at the club over the last year. It will also give Boro regular top quality opposition to compete against at the top level of English Futsal. Matches will be played every two weeks, and every month we’ll be previewing the next two of our opponents in this newsletter. The 7 other teams in the North Division are: FC Barsa Leeds, Hull Futsal, FC Grimsby, Manchester FC, Tranmere Victoria FC, Sheffield FC and Sheffield & Hallamshire FC. Look out for fixtures next week!
