Perthshire AdvertiserPerth Youth FutsalFeb 8 2008 THE new PYF Spring 2008 sessions continue tonight (Friday) at Bells Sports Centre. Session times are 79pm for each of the 912 and 1317 leagues. Sessions will include league games, skills drills, shootouts and Futsal training, amongst other things. There are still a couple of places available in the 912 group, so any teams interested in joining are advised to apply asap.
PYF are also running Futsal sessions for boys and girls aged 1317 year olds if you want to try Futsal for yourself, just turn up on the night to participate.
Preparations are underway for the July trip to Barcelona and players will be selected this week for the U14 and U16 squads for this exciting tournament which runs from July 16.
The PYF Allstars failed in their defence of the Scottish Futsal League Cup they won last season when they lost 32 to a hard working North Muirton side in this years final. The PYF Allstars had a poor game by their usual standards and managed to miss a last-minute penalty, which would have taken the tie into extra time. With league games resuming on Monday night, all three PYF teams will now be focussed on winning their respective leagues.
