In the middle of December 2008 the Dina Moscow's coach Andrey Yudin was appointed as new coach of the Azeri National team. Not a new name for futsal in Azerbaijan, as Yudin experienced his last seasons as a player with the prestigious azeri club Turan Air, now not more active.

Yudin spent some weeks in Azerbaijan, observing the team during the winning international tournament held in the middle of January and was then back in Moscow to help Dina as well as to try to obtain the documentation to "use" the russian players Vladimir Kolesnikov and Denis Kalinin for the Azeri side.

On past January 28th Yudin announced the team that will attend the UEFA Qualifiers group in Chrudim, where Azerbaijan will face Czech Republic and Finland but will especially look for overcoming the Armenian archrivals.

Below you can have a look at the roster announced for the Chrudim tournament, while today Azerbaijan won a friendly match in Baku against Turkey, by 4-2.
