Herts 24Northaw kick off in new league21 February 2008 AN INDOOR football team from Times Territory has been accepted into a national league.
Newly formed FS Northaw is the only side from the South Herts area to be awarded a Football Association National Futsal League South place.
The squad is formed from footballers who regular play in the Enfield Futsal League and the Hertfordshire Grundy Park League.
Duo Aaron Cato and Grant Osborn will manage the side, which will be coached by Sam Judge. Those three have all been playing the game for a number of years.
Aaron has played 7-a-side football in the Southbury 7's league for the WE Boiz and has also appeared in the Southern League for Cheshunt Football Club.
Grant and Sam also appeared for the WE Boiz and the pair have turned out for Enfield in the Ryman League.
Team secretary Rob Brassett said: "This is a good time for Futsal in this country and we have been offered a place at the start of something special.
"FS Northaw will be representing all that is good of Futsal in this area.
"The team will be based around players playing within our leagues and youth players will progress into the side through our leagues."
