Report by our albanian collaborator
Gjergj VyshkaThe
Albanian national team leaded by
Edi Martini has left yesterday for Paola (Malta), in order to take part in the UEFA Qualifier group 7. After two training weeks in Ulcinj Albania is ready to fight for the brazilian dream, though head coach Martini has experienced some "relation" troubles with some players, that determined the absence in Malta of top names like
Gerti Spahiu, Ani Mullai, Arjan Nikolli, Arjan Hysa, Florian Manastirliu, Armand Nebiu and
Erind Resuli. Due to this reason Albania will only count on 12 players in Malta. During the trainig camp Albania faced the montenegrian side Piramida Podgorica (losing 3-5) and Teuta Ulcinj (winning 3-1). The scheduled match against the Montenegrian National team in Tivat was cancelled due to security reasons, as a Serbian community is living there.
