Four years ago Michal Stříž led the Czech Republic to their first FIFA Futsal World Cup finals but will need to weave his magic again to repeat the feat with Malta.
Growing sport The island nation welcome Albania, Greece and Slovenia to Korradino for qualifying Group 7 between today and Thursday, and the sport is growing in popularity in Malta with the number of clubs and players increasing rapidly. But reaching the finals in Brazil will be a tall order, though captain Mark Sullivan is hopeful.
Experience "Despite knowing that we will be facing tough and difficult opponents in our Group 7, namely Albania, Greece and Slovenia, we still believe in our capabilities and we are adamant that we will giving our all," Sullivan told uefa.com. "I believe that we have now gained experience in the game of futsal and we intend to prove it when we go into these matches against three difficult teams."
