FIFA to train Vietnam’s futsal coaches

The world’s football governing body FIFA has recently agreed to help Vietnam run a training course for local futsal coaches in an effort to further promote the sport in the impassioned football country.

According to Vietnam Football Federation, the first training course will be held from March 10-17 in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 6 athletic complex with the participation of 39 coaches from across the country.

Vietnam has sought training support from FIFA for its futsal coaches since 2005, but such efforts were barred due to Asian Football Confederation regulations which required that all participants must have football coaching license.
