Owen Sound loses in quarter-finals

Owen Sound fell 4-3 to the London Dinhos at the Ontario Futsal Cup championships on Sunday.

Aaron Illman scored twice, while Blair Weinberger added a single for Owen Sound, which was 1-2 in round-robin play.

The squad lost 3-0 to London Serbs, and fell 3-2 to eventual champion Toronto Atletico on goals by Willem Both and Scott Lisi.

Owen Sound also won 6-3 over Strathroy with Nick Rowe scoring twice and Ryan McManaman, Kyle Robinson, Matt Coture and Illman adding singles.

The Owen Sound squad was formed from players from the Joe Tomato's Futsal League.
