CAF On lineFutsal teams know opponent16/03/2008The draw for the African preliminaries of the World Championship for Futsal, Brazil 2008, took place in Tripoli, Libya on March 15.
Ten participating countries were divided in two groups of five teams. In group A are Libya, Nigeria, Tunisia, Morocco, and Cameroon. In group B are Egypt, Zambia, South Africa, Angola and Mozambique. The matches will be played in two venues : Cortuba and African Union.
South Africa will play Angola in the opening match, which is one of the four games to be decided on 21 Match. Others are Tunisia v Morocco, Egypt v Zambia and host country Libya against Nigeria.
The final match comes up on 30 March.
The African preliminaries of the World Championship for Futsal, Brazil 2008, will take place in Tripoli from the 21st to the 30th of March 2008.
For the first time since the inaugural FIFA Futsal World Championship held in the Netherlands in 1989, two countries will represent Africa in Brazil.
Current champions, Egypt, represented Africa in last championship in Chinese Taipei in 2004, which was won by Spain.
