St. Patrick's Athletic crowned Futsal champions

The Saints claimed victory in the final with two goals in extra time against an impressive Bohemians side.

Alexandru Gutu put the Saints ahead but an equaliser from Alan Lynch had the sides level at the end of normal time. With just minutes remaining in the second period of extra time, Artur Opeldus gave St. Patrick's Athletic the advantage with an unstoppable drive. Sergei Musteata made sure of victory in the dying seconds when he scored the Saints third.

As eircom Futsal League of Ireland champions, St. Patrick's Athletic win €10,000 and a chance to represent Ireland in the UEFA Futsal Cup.

Dane Massey of Bray Wanderers was named Player of the Tournament for his brilliant displays for the Seagulls, who were defeated by St. Patrick's Athletic in the semi finals of the competition.
