Parnassos, new Cypriot champions!

The last day of the Cyprus Premier league was one of the most exciting ones in recent years.
Parnassos needed just one point against the dangerous boys of G.C School to win its second championship in 3 years. On the other side of Nicosia, AGBU Ararat was demolishing Omonoia (final score: 10-1) and it was hoping for a miracle by G.C School.

The Parnassos vs G.C School game ended in a 3-3 tie, a breathtaking game with all fans to the edge of their chairs. Parnassos took the lead 3 times but G.C School always answered, equalizing the score.

The last 5 minutes must have been the longest ever of Parnassos players and fans, in the final effort of G.C School against the broken nerves of Parnassos. Finally the dream of one more title came true for Parnassos, while at the same time Ararat fans realized that the title was gone for this season, though they did not miss the chance to celebrate their players for their efforts in this thrilling league ending. this year.
