MagharebiaLibya, Morocco qualify for Futsal Championship semis25/03/2008With four consecutive victories, Libya finished at the top of the Group A standings with 12 points, qualifying for the semi finals of the African Futsal Championships under way in Tripoli. In their last group match on Monday (March 24th), Libya crushed Cameroon 7-1. Earlier, the team defeated Nigeria 4-0, Tunisia 4-2 and Morocco 4-1. Morocco is in second place and has already secured a berth for the semis. Having defeated Tunisia 5-0 and Nigeria 2-1, Morocco heads into Tuesday's clash with Cameroon with six points. Tunisia's Tuesday match against Nigeria is of no significance for the group standings.
The championship semi finals are scheduled for March 28th and the final will be on March 30th. The first two teams from the African competition will represent the continent at the 2008 World Futsal Cup in Brazil.
