Malaysia draw with Vietnam in AFC match

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia failed to get off to a winning start in the AFC futsal qualifying tournamen with 4-4 draw against Vietnam in their opening Group A match at the Matsushita Sports Complex in Shah Alam yesterday.

Malaysia led 4-3 with only seconds remaining on the clock. Seasoned campaigners Addie Azwan Zainal and Mohd Feroz Karnim scored a brace each. In another Group A match, Taiwan defeated Maldives 4-2.

Malaysia take on Maldives in the next Group A match today.
