Maghreb Arabe Press4th African Futsal championships: Morocco loses in semisTripoli, Mar. 28Morocco on Friday lost to Egypt 4-1 in the semi-final of the 4th African Futsal - the five-a-side indoor version of football - Championships.
Due to this result, Morocco missed the chance to play the World Futsal championships, as the two finalists of this championship will represent the African continent in the world event, slated for next summer in Brazil.
The Moroccans made it through to the semis after finishing second of Group A with nine points out of three wins against Tunisia (5-0), Nigeria (2-1) and Cameroon (8-1), and a loss before the hosts Libya (1-4).
Morocco will play for the third place against the loser in the other semis opposing Libya to Mozambique.

The Pharaohs will face the winners of Friday's semi-final between hosts Libya and Mozambique.
African championship winners and runners-up qualify to the World Cup, which will kick-off on September 20th.
Egypt were Africa's sole representative in the past three World Cups.
