Jaguars maul St Maarten in Futsal opener

Guyana’s Golden Jaguars Futsal team, tore into their St Maarten opponents before mauling them 8-2 as the Caribbean Football Union’s 2008 Futsal Qualifying Tournament got underway at Canedo Hall in the Dr. Joao Havelenage Centre of Excellence yesterday afternoon.

John Waldron led the goal spree with a brace while Travis Grant, Troy Kelman, Koanata Mannings, Delroy Deen and captain Gerald Gritten were all on target in the lop-sided win.
The other goal came from a defence error.

The Golden Jaguars will be in action again this afternoon when they will oppose Haiti. The six-team tournament will qualify two squads to the 2008 Futsal Championships to be held later this year.
