Trinidad ExpressT&T tackle Puerto Rico in CFU FutsalThursday, April 3rd 2008 Trinidad and Tobago's men's futsal team begin the defence of their Caribbean title from seven o'clock this evening, when they take on Puerto Rico in the second match of a Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Futsal Final Round double-header, at the Candedo Hall, Centre of Excellence, Macoya.
The tournament kicks off at 5 p.m. with a showdown between Guyana and St Maarten.
The six-team competition is divided into two groups, with the group winners moving on to the CONCACAF Final round. Group A comprises T&T, Puerto Rico and Suriname, while Group B includes Guyana, St Maarten and Haiti. The two Caribbean qualifiers will join Costa Rica, Cuba, Mexico, Panama, USA and hosts Guatemala at the June 2-8 CONCACAF Futsal Championship, in Guatemala City.
