“Norilsky Nickel” to boost futsal commercials in Russia

Unlike other sports powers, in Russia futsal is still a “younger brother” that has to struggle for the audience and, as a consequence, for the investments. Together with the good performance of the national team that is a great contribution to futsal development, clubs have to take steps in this direction in their respective regions.

Norilsky Nickel in this aspect looks in advantage as the club celebrates its 15th anniversary in May. Club President Vladimir Bakulev revealed the plans for the celebration:

- Norilsky Nickel Grand Prix competition, to celebrate our 15th anniversary, will be held in May in Norilsk with participation of the world’s leading national teams. It’s the unique event for Russian futsal that I believe will attract a lot of Norilsk citizens. And the team will have the chance to compete against the best futsal players of the world.
Three-day futsal marathon in Norilsk will be not only a celebration of sport. Popular Russian artist will give a show in the framework of Grand Prix.



Norilsky Nickel futsal team created a computer game

On April 3rd Norilsky Nickel futsal team made an introduction to all fans issuing a computer game named Futsal. Light, user-friendly and a very addictive game can be downloaded from club’s website.

It’s the first experience of a kind among Russian futsal clubs and the important initiative since Russian sport clubs offer significantly less on-line services to their fans comparing to most of the clubs from US and Europe.
