Chris GaleaThree Serbian nationals who are residents in Malta were on Monday arraigned in court charged with causing crowd trouble at the Corradino Pavilion during a Futsal match. Milos Stanic, 25, and his 27-year-old brother Milan, both residing in Msida, as well as Vukasin Stevovic, 26, residing in Sliema, were charged with causing over €116.47 in damages to the detriment of the owners of the Pavilion, AS Hibernians Ltd.
They were also charged with the possession of explosive materials, lighting up a flare and throwing it on the pitch, as well as putting the life of other people at risk.
They were further charged with inciting other people to commit a crime, invading the pitch, as well as assaulting the Futsal national team coach Michael Striz -- who had intervened in an attempt to calm down the situation -- and breaking the public order.
The Court, presided by Magistrate Michael Mallia, granted the three Serbian men bail against a deposit of €330 and a personal guarantee of €1,000 each. They were also ordered not to leave the country.
Inspector Alexander Grech prosecuted, while Dr Andy Ellul and Dr Vince Micallef appeared for the accused.
