Julio Grondona, AFA president and FIFA Executive Committee Senior Vice President, will ask the introduction of futsal in London 2012 as demonstrative sport. This is the result of the FPFS president
Ciro Fontão's visit in the AFA headquarters, on past April 22nd.
During the visit Grondona announced he will express to FIFA president Joseph Blatter the futsal aim to be present in
London 2012 Olympic Games as demonstratve sport.
Grondona underlined the importance of the
Olympic Futsal Campaign in favour of our sport, with special refer to the work developed by the Paulista federation.
The
"Futsal! Um Sonho Olímpico" campaign will also focus on the Guadalajara's Pan American Games of 2011, where futsal hopes to be "confirmed" after the unique, first and historical, cap in Rio de Janeiro 2007.
