Nightmare for Malaysia in Bangkok

MALAYSIA made a nightmarish start in the AFC Futsal Championship in Bangkok yesterday as they were slaughtered 10-0 by Uzbekistan at the Hua Mark Indoor Stadium.

Besides the humiliating loss in Group C, the team also had Mohamad Fuad Yusof sent off and he will miss the game against Lebanon today.
Lebanon drew 5-5 with Korea Republic in the other Group C tie.

Meanwhile, hosts Thailand edged Iraq 1-0 in a Group A tie with Janta Panuwa scoring the winner.

In Group D, favourites Iran went two better than Uzbekistan by hammering Kuwait 12-0.
