INDONESIAN COACH NAMES 14-PLAYER ROSTER FOR 2002 ASIAN FUTSAL CHAMPIONSHIP

Istora Senayan (Oct. 21, 2002) - Indonesia's Futsal National Team Head Coach R. Adang Ruchiatna has named a 14-player roster for the 2002 Asian Futsal Championship (AFC) that will take place at the Istora Gelora Bung Karno Arena is Istora Senayan, Indonesia from Oct. 22-30.

Indonesia has been placed in Group C, for the first round that will run from Oct. 22-26, along with China, Japan, Kuwait and Kyrgyzstan.

The three-time defending AFC champions Iran is in Group B with Chinese Taipei, Malaysia, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. Rounding off the first round is Group A that features Bahrain, Brunei Darussalam, Iraq, Korea Republic and Thailand.

The top two of each group along with the two best third-place finishers will advance to the quarterfinals set for Oct. 28.

The quarterfinal winners will meet in the semifinals slated for Oct. 29.

The final and third-place match will take place on Oct. 30.
