Malaysia crash out after defeat by Lebanon

BANGKOK: Malaysia are out of the running for the knockout stage of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Futsal Championship after losing 4-6 to Lebanon in their second Group C match at the Hua Mark Stadium yesterday.

Malaysia’s goals were scored by Ruzaley Abdul Aziz and Hanif Sarmin in the first half and Muzzudin Haris and Zaidi Khapri in the second half.

Lebanon were on target with goals coming form Hayssam Atwi (two goals), Khaled Takaji (two goals), Serge Said and Rabih Abou Chaaya scoring one goal each.

Malaysia had a bad start to the championship when they were hammered 0-10 by Uzbekistan on Sunday.

Malaysia complete their Group C fixtures when they meet South Korea today. – Bernama
