Malaysia edge South Korea

BANGKOK: Malaysia edged South Korea 4-3 in their final Group C match of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Futsal Championship at the Hua Mark Stadium here yesterday.

It was an important win for the national team. The win assures a berth in next year's tournament.

Malaysia finished Group C in third place. In their earlier group matches, they lost to Uzbekistan 0-10 and Lebanon 4-6 which put them out of contention for the quarter-finals.

Uzbekistan and Lebanon qualified for the last eight from the group. – Bernama
