MILWAUKEE WAVE SPLASH THEIR WAY TO PERFECT 4-0 LEDGER IN 2002-03 MISL
With only three weeks into the season, the Milwaukee Wave are the only undefeated squad in the 2002-03 Major Indoor Soccer League campaign with a perfect 4-0 overall ledger and in first-place in the Western Conference standings.
The Wave improved their MISL mark with a thrilling 12:10 road win over the Baltimore Blast (2-2) on Oct. 19. In other exciting game, defender Glenn Carbonara notched the game-winner in sudden death overtime as the host Philadelphia Kixx (3-1) posted a 10:8 victory over the Dallas Sidekicks (2-3) on Oct. 19.

The San Diego Sockers (2-4) earned a road split of a two-game series as the squad dropped a 10:8 decision to the Cleveland Force (2-2) on Oct. 18, but then rebounded to defeat the Kansas City Comets (0-3) the following day.

Next round of MISL regular season matches will feature the Cleveland Force visiting the San Diego Sockers on Oct. 25. Also on Oct. 25th, the Milwaukee Wave greet the Philadelphia Kixx, while the Baltimore Blast entertain the Kansas City Comets. The next day (Oct. 26), the Harrisburg Heat travel to meet the Blast, while the Kixx host the Comets.

Baltimore Blast - Forward Lee Tschantret (6 goals, 12 caps) notched a goal and an assist, while defender Dewan Bader (0 caps) had a tally in the 12:10 loss to Milwaukee on Oct. 19. Forward Tarik Walker (0 caps) assisted on two goals and defender Sean Bowers (5 goals, 23 caps) also added an assist, while
goalkeeper Scott Hileman (1 cap) made 20 saves in the loss. ... Kansas City Comets - Forward Nate Houser (0 caps) scored a goal in the 14:10 defeat at the hands of San Diego on Oct. 19. ... Milwaukee Wave - Defender Greg Howes (2 caps), midfielder Brian Loftin (7 goals, 14 caps) and Joe Reiniger (0 caps) all scored, while goalkeeper Victor Nogueira (16 caps) had 15 saves in the 12:10 victory over Baltimore on Oct. 19. ...
