Iran futsal team due in Brazil

The national Iranian futsal team is scheduled to travel to Brazil on May 29 to take part in the Mini World Cup competitions.

The international competition is slated to kick off on May 31.

Some 14 players will accompany the Iranian team on the three-day camp which will start on May 26.

The Iranian team, coached by Hossein Shams, won the 10th Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Futsal Championship 2008 which was held in Bangkok, Thailand.

Iran, Thailand, Japan and China will represent Asia at the FIFA Futsal World Cup in Brazil in October 2008.
