Russian Women Futsal Association
Report by our russian collaborator Oleg Baskakov

The 16th season of Russian women futsal has come to the end. For the first in their history Laguna Penza claimed the national title, a deserved prize for the huge work of club president Oleg
Selehmetev
and head coach (former player of Koil Kogalym) Evgenie Kuzmin. The new Russian champions were also awarded in the top scorers standing, with the impressive perfomance of the Ukrainian Julia Titova, who scored 61 goal in the season.

The former champions of Viktoria (Nizhniy Novgorod Region) found some consolation in the Cup triumph, with the Pavel
Romanov
's girls managed to beat Laguna by 2-0, also thanks to the russian star Pavlina Borodina.

42 clubs took part in the second division of women futsal, from Baltic region to Kamchatka. The first place, at the end of the final tournament, went to the Ekaterinburg side UGTU-UPI, with Politechnik-SFU (Krasnoyarsk) as runners up, Chayka as third classified and Laguna "B" (Penza) which ended as fourth. The last place of the standing went to BaltJunia from Kaliningrad.

One more season of women futsal in Russia is over, once again with the only support of futsal enthusiasts from Russian Women Futsal Association.
