FS Northaw are showing reputation is nothing in the National South Division

FS Northaw basted to a 12-8 victory of Vaughans in the Southern Division and added the famous West London side to its hit list along with White Bear.

New Head Coach Martin May who joined the side only 5 weeks ago has worked hard with the players in training and was looking to produce a more rounded performance form the side.

With Stuart Gore pulling out through injury on Sunday morning Martin started with Sean Wiggan in goal and Zaine Martin, Sam Judge, Justin Dickinson and Aaron Cato on the pitch. On the bench was Grant Osborn, Kirt Osborn and hatim Mosy-Fahmy.

The game even with both sides having some chances but neither finding the net and it appeared that FS Northaw were the better for the hard training they had been doing over recent weeks.

Grant Osborn blasted his side into a 1-0 lead after 7 minutes after a start that saw both side playing a similar defensive pattern.

Justin Dickinson made it 2-0 2 minutes later and Sam Judge pilled on the pressure making it 3-0 after 10 minutes.

Vaughans called their time out to try and re-group and there talk seemed to stem the flow of goals for four minutes at least before Sam Judge scored his 2nd and

Aaron cat banged in his 3rd to make it 5-0 after 14 minutes.

Vaughans found the net with 4 minutes to go but this was only a consolation as they had been outclassed by a better side in the first half and they were well aware of the fact it would be a big struggle in the second half.

With 0.09 seconds to go Hatim Morsy-Fahmy charged forward and score to round off a great half making it 6-1.

The start of the second half saw Northaw concerned about an injury to Debutant keeper Sean Wiggan who had been stopping shots from all over the place in the first half.

But he carried on between the post and put on a Superb and brave performance in the second half to assist his side to victory the start of the second half saw Vaughans make a comeback and they made it 6-2 from the 1st minute of the half.

Aaron Cato hit back and made it 7-2 within a minute with Northaw making sure Vaughans did not get a foot back in and find a way back into the match.

But this they did as the found 3 goals in 3 minutes to bring them back to 7-5 with 14 minutes still on the clock they had plenty of time and Northaw had to find the way to stop there push.

This came with Zaine Martin who making his debut in the National League played a great role at the back marshalling the team and capped his performance with a goal just when it was needed to make it 8-5.

Vaughans hit back once again and made it 8-7 with 5 minutes to go but this was not going to be there day Sam Judge banged in a goal to complete his hat-trick and make it 9-6

Then Aaron Cato chipped in with his 3rd and 4th goals of teh game within the space on a minute to make it 11-6.

Throughout the game Kirt Osborn and Denis Zadeikis had been assisting goals and putting in some decisive tackles at vital moments in the match. This had seen there team mates find the net but the goals had eluded them both.

This changed with 5 minutes to go when Kirt Osborn found the net to make it 12-6 and cap a good days work for the youngest player in the team a great prospect for the future of Futsal in England as he seems to improve with every game.

Denis should have found his name on teh score sheet as well when he had an open goal after some great play but the left upright denied him the glory of the final goal.

That went to Justin Dickinson who made 13 -8 for his 2nd goal of teh day to round off his great performance as well.

In the final minutes with both teams on 5 fouls Vaughans score to make it 13-8.

But the day belonged to FS Northaw who all round put in a great performance and shown the sides in this league that they do not fear anyone and now they have found there feet in the top division they will be looking to move up teh table over the rest of the season.

Secretary Rob Brassett said '' When we started playing Futsal in Enfield 3 years ago we met Vaughans in the play off for the National Finals. That day they showed us what we had to achieve beating us 12-3. Today i think we showed them how much we have improved.
