Our young futsal men come of age

HOW sweet it is.

Yet another of our teams have beaten Oceania’s dominant soccer nation, New Zealand.

But this time it was an extra special win.

For it was by the national futsal team, a group of young men specially groomed for this day.
They have been brought up through the age groups in this five-aside indoor version of football.

They are the youngest team in the Oceania Futsal World Cup qualifying tournament in Fiji.
They still face tough games ahead, especially against New Caledonia (today), Fiji (tomorrow) and Vanuatu (Thursday).
But a 5-1 win over New Zealand?

Let’s enjoy yet another special day for our soccer.
And send our young futsal heroes all our support as they chase a place in the finals in Brazil.
Go, Solo, Go.
