Fiji 5-a-side In A Must Win Situation

The Fiji 5-a-side soccer team must beat Solomon’s today to have any chance of making it to the Futsal World Cup in Brazil later this year.

They won their opening match 4-2 against New Caledonia on Sunday and the morale in camp is high as the Intiaz Khan coached side is looking forward to another victory tonight.

But it may not come that easy as Solomon’s are the favourites in the OFC Futsal soccer championship after another convincing victory last night. Playing most of the matches with 3 men after two of their players were red carded, they defeated New Caledonia 8-5 and lead the points standings with 6 points.

The Fiji / Solomon’s match will kick off tonight at 8 o'clock at the Vodafone Arena.
