40 teams set to battle it out

AFTER the four qualifying rounds, 40 teams have booked their spots in the grand finals of the Kimberly-Clark Professional Wypall Inter-Factory Futsal competition to be held at the Sports Planet, Subang Grand on Sunday.

The qualifying rounds were held at the Sports Planet, Subang Grand (two rounds), Best-Best Bola Centre in Penang and Millennium Soccer Skudai in Johor Baru.

A total of 128 teams from manufacturing companies in the Central, North and Southern regions were involved in the tournament.

Kimberly-Clark Professional market segment manager Lee J-Hunn said the competition would be an exciting affair.

“The competition was organised to promote a healthy sports culture among employees in the manufacturing industry in the country,” he said.

The champions will receive RM2,500 and a challenge trophy. The runners-up will get RM1,500 while the third and fourth placed teams will receive RM1,000 and RM500 respectively.
