SportsYA!Futsal Cup kicks offTen South American national teams gather to play the Copa America of Futsal 2008; the top three qualify for next World Cup.
The tournament, which will be broadcasted live on JumpTV, will be held in Canelones and Mercedes, northern Montevideo, the capital city of Uruguay.
The contestants were gathered into three groups: Argentina, Colombia and Venezuela into Grupo A; Paraguay, Peru and Bolivia into Group B, and Uruguay, Brazil, Ecuador and Chile into Group C.
The winners of Group A and B plus the top two of Group C will move into semifinals, in addition to getting a ticket for the World Cup.
Due to their history and background, the organizers think Brazil will be one of the qualified teams. Moreover, they have a spot in the World Cup for sure since they are the hosting country.
