The match figure was Walter Villalba, scorer of four goals and builder of many plays that finished in goal.
From the beginning, Paraguay showed their category, pressing Bolivia and producing many goal opportunities every time they reached the goal protected by Torrico, Bolivia’s figure.
Villalba put Paraguay ahead in the 3rd minute, doubling the lead 11 minutes later through Carlos Chilavert. Then, Italy’s Atletico Teramo player set the 3-0 following a free kick.
The fourth goal was scored before the end of the first half, from Rene Villalba. Then, already in the second half, Alcaraz scored for the 5-0 and Walter Villalba sealed the trash.
